Patient & companion packages

Two coordination packages: one for the patient and one for a traveling companion. Each includes international economy or premium-economy flights, seven nights’ hotel, meals, a seven-day van, and our coordination team. Hospital fees are paid separately at the hospitals.

  • Seven nights at an international four-star or upscale boutique hotel (single room or equivalent)
  • Meals at the contracted dining tier for the stay
  • Seven-day seven-seat van with driver (airport and city)

  • Medical paperwork support and three remote follow-ups after return (patient)

What the companion package covers

  • Shared-trip logistics: same room, meals, private van, tourism and guide on the shared itinerary
  • Own economy or premium-economy flight, budgeted inside the companion contract range
  • Not included: hospital medical fees; patient-only medical escort days; patient-only remote follow-ups

What’s Not Included in Package Pricing

  • Renji Hospital International fees (consultation, tests, medications, etc.)
  • Yueyang Hospital International fees (TCM consultation, therapies, herbs)
  • Emergency or inpatient care
  • Overnight stay or personal arrangements in Hong Kong after arrival, unless explicitly added
  • Personal shopping or unrelated spending
  • Companion’s separate hotel room unless explicitly added (quote for ~seven nights at the contracted nightly tier)

Hospital Medical Fees

These fees are paid directly to the hospital and depend on the actual case, the doctor’s evaluation, and the tests or medications ordered.

Medical item Typical range Notes
Renji Hospital International — GI / outpatient (e.g. consult, SIBO testing as ordered) ~$800 – $1,800 Planning band only; depends on visit, tests, and medications
Yueyang Hospital International — TCM day ~$500 – $1,200 Planning band only; therapies and herbs per physician
Typical combined hospital self-pay (patient, both hospitals) ~$1,500 – $3,000 Paid at hospital cashiers; not part of the patient or companion contract bands

Actual hospital cost is case-dependent. That is why review happens before travel confirmation.

Example Cost Scenarios

Patient traveling alone

Patient coordination (includes flights & 7 nights): $6,500

Hospital fees (patient, lower-end estimate): ~$1,500

Illustrative low-end total: ~$8,000

Patient traveling with one companion

Patient coordination: $6,500

Companion coordination (shared room): $3,200

Hospital fees: ~$1,500 (patient only, lower-end estimate)

Illustrative low-end total: ~$11,200

Companion separate room: add a written quote (~seven nights).

These examples use starting coordination fees plus a lower-end hospital estimate; your actual total may be higher. Flights are included in the coordination package price.

Refund, reschedule & cancellation

These points apply to paid coordination only — not the free case review. Hospital fees you pay at Renji or Yueyang are separate unless we explicitly collected them for you in writing.

  • When a trip is “locked”: Not on payment alone. A coordination itinerary is locked only after fit confirmation, payment received, active scheduling work has started, and a target window or hospital date is confirmed in writing — often within about 3 business days after payment, unless scheduling or records need more time.
  • Non-refundable retainer: Once paid coordination begins, the first USD 750 of your coordination payment is a non-refundable coordination retainer (admin setup, scheduling prep, document handling — not a hospital deposit).
  • Cancel before written lock: If you cancel before that written lock point, amounts paid above the retainer may be refundable per policy; details depend on timing and work already done.
  • Hospital changes the date: We usually treat this as a reschedule — we work to move you to a new workable date and carry the coordination case forward. We do not charge a new full package fee only because the hospital moved the slot.
  • Patient-led reschedule: If you ask to move dates instead of cancelling entirely, we generally apply the existing coordination case forward, subject to the policy’s reschedule rules.
  • Visa, border, or flight issues: Refund and fee treatment depends on timing, lock status, and how much coordination work has already been consumed — spelled out in the full policy.

Pricing FAQ

Why are hospital fees separate?
Because medical costs depend on the actual consultation, tests, procedures, and medication ordered.
Do I pay before case review?
No. Case review comes first to assess whether this route may make sense.
Does the companion package include medical care or escort?
No. The companion contract covers shared logistics (same room, meals, van, tourism/guide) and includes the companion’s own economy or premium-economy flight within the companion price band. It does not include hospital care, patient-only medical escort days, or patient-only remote follow-ups.
Can pricing change by case?
Package pricing is structured, but hospital medical fees vary by case.
Can I get a refund on the coordination package?
It depends on timing. After paid coordination starts, USD 750 is a non-refundable retainer. Before the trip is confirmed in writing (“locked”), you may recover amounts above the retainer in some cases. Hospital fees follow hospital rules — see the Refund & Reschedule Policy.
What if I need to reschedule?
If the hospital changes timing, we prioritize moving your case to a new date. If you request a reschedule, we usually roll the coordination forward under the policy’s reschedule rules instead of treating it like a brand-new sale.
Does this policy cover hospital bills?
No — unless we explicitly collected a hospital payment for you in writing, hospital charges are between you and the hospital. Our refund rules address coordination fees and workflow.
Are international flights included in the contract price?
Yes. Economy or premium-economy flights for the typical U.S.–Shanghai routing (including the Shanghai–Hong Kong segment for qualifying transit) are budgeted inside the patient and companion contract ranges — usually around $1,300–$1,800 per person in the plan — not billed as an extra fee on top of those ranges.
